I.C.C.'s diagnostic test is designed to find out your level of knowledge in English in relation to our Level performance chart and our Language progress chart.
Each level corresponds to a L.L.P. - Language learning package -and is an integral part of our Complete language learning programme.
To do this test effectively please follow the instructions below carefully :
Please note: To complete this test your computer must be equipped with an audio system as two thirds of the test involves aural comprehension (this test lasts for about 40 minutes).
This test has been effectively used in such companies as: DOW CORNING, ACT-AIR, AIR FRANCE, INRIA, COTE D'AZUR DEVELOPPEMENT, SOCIETE DES BAINS DE MER, EXPERIAN, CADENCE, ISTAR.
In order to place students in a course that corresponds to the level and, with the help of the pre-course survey, to make sure their L.L.P. is designed to meet their specific needs.
Listen carefully to the statement in English. Decide if the answer corresponds to either A,B,or C and "click" on the corresponding box.
If you are NOT SURE of the answer DO NOT GUESS but click on box "D".
Listen to each statement as many times as you wish, the more often you listen to each statement the less accurate the test becames. It is preferable to listen to each statement only once. You have as much time as you like to decide on the answer.
After you have clicked on either A,B,C,or D the next statement will follow automatically - so be ready.
There are 50 Aural comprehension statements.
Read the statement carefully and decide if the answer corresponds to A,B,or C.
If you are NOT SURE DO NOT GUESS but "click" on D.
You have as much time as you like to answer the statement.
When you have answered all 75 statments the result will be shown on the Level Performance chart and the Language Progress Chart to find out your level and the number of hours to reach the level you would like to obtain.
